Q. if i wanted to lose weight would eating leancuisine be agood way, along with exercise ? i have trouble with my portion control and i think this would help instead of making a big huge meal, i make one leancuisine frozen dinners at night and no leftovers to snack on. |

Q. I have heard that after moderate to heavy exercise, your body is more efficient at burning calories since your metabolism is raised, and the calories that you consume in the hour following an exercise session are burned off more easily. I was wondering if there was any truth to this, and if so, if it would be wise to eat the biggest meal of the day after an exercise session to help combat the most calories and speed weight loss. |
| A. You are correct that exercise makes your body more efficient at burning calories. I would not say, however, that it is necessary to eat your biggest meal of the day after exercise, especially after weight bearing activity, because your body benefits from the metabolism boost throughout the day. (Cardiovascular activity by itself does not promotes th same "long-term" calorie burn that you will experience with weight bearing activity because the more muscle mass you have, the more calories you will burn). |
